The Village of Maskell has the unique distinction of having the smallest city hall in the United States. The building, built in the 1930s, is about 10 x 12 feet and has just enough room for a desk and a few chairs. Diane Ehlers, Maskell Village Board Member, said people often stop at the hall to peek in and take photos. Village board meetings are usually held in the park shelter across the street where there is a bit more room. Maskell is one of the newest members of LARM.
